ABILITY TO LEARN FROM MISTAKE

Nick Woodman is the founder and CEO of GoPro. He was born on June 24, 1975. Woodman grew up in Menlo Park, California and Atherton, California. He earned a B.A. degree in visual arts and a minor in creative writing from the University of California, San Diego in 1997. After school he founded a marketing company called funBug but after it did not succeed, in 2002 at the age of 26, he decided to travel around the world surfing.
Nick woodman is one of the entrepreneurs who did not give up in the face of early failure, but rather enjoyed and appreciated it for the lessons heeded. He is always learn from his mistake and that’s the secret of his successful.
His first failure was when he created EmpowerAll.com, an e-commerce site aimed at a young demographic which sold very cheap electronics. That didn’t drive our future billionaire out of the business arena but it drove him to try harder, so in 1999 he set up FunBug, an online marketing company. ( Balasa, 2014 )
He even managed to raise $3.9 million in funding from different investors. The company was on the rise, but by 2001, Nick had to admit failure once again. He was not able to create a sustainable user base from which to drive profit via the companies he was marketing.( Balasa, 2014)
After losing his second company, he had a long rest before came out with a brilliant idea. He started working on a prototype for a camera which can be used by athletes which is GoPro. Finally, his GoPro have become a phenomenon between the citizens and made him one of the youngest billionaires in the world, and the owner of the fastest-growing camera company in America. This shown that Nick Woodman is an entrepreneur that have the ability to learn from mistakes come out with even better ideas.(Balasa,2014)
